The Prestigious 'Best Show Unit' Title Awarded to Avaland for Aetas Seputeh
AUGUST 13, 2025

The third edition of the Tatler Homes Design Awards recognises winning projects spanning architecture, interior design, and sustainable innovation.
We capped off the jubilant month of July with the third edition of the Tatler Homes Design Awards 2025 - Malaysia, when, on July 30, Malaysia’s architecture and design community gathered at the Imperial Lexis Hotel to celebrate innovative design excellence worthy of their accolades.
In the early hours of the evening, guests arrived at the Satellite Bar perched on the pinnacle of Imperial Lexis–a venue designed by one of the distinguished jurors, Lillian Tay’s architectural firm, Veritas Group. Here, attendees were immediately captivated by the spectacular city views from all angles of the bar.
Everyone was treated to crafted mocktails and elegant canapés prepared by the hotel bar, while Vinarchy Wines offered generous pours of Grant Burge wines throughout the celebration.
In support of the Tatler Homes Design Awards, Dulux welcomed guests to explore the colour palette that will take the world by storm next year at their vibrant ColourFutures 2026 setup.
Adding to the artistic ambiance, trophy sponsor Lladró’s prominent ceramic display from its collaborative Art Editions with Spanish figurative artist Javier Calleja sparked engaging conversations among the night’s attendees.
Following a brief welcome introduction during the golden hour, Jennifer Choo, Tatler Homes regional managing editor, presented a colourful series of trophies by Lladró to the seven winners for the Tatler Homes Design Awards 2025 - Malaysia.
Avaland won Best Show Unit for Aetas Seputeh, a thoughtfully planned urban living space emphasising multi-generational functionality.
As the winners gathered for photo opportunities, the setting sun hung low next to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers–creating a breathtaking backdrop for the night’s festivities.
The winners were selected from nearly 100 entries by the year’s esteemed panel of jurors, consisting of Bill Bensley, founder of Bensley, and Omar Khan, founder of Omar Khan Rugs, alongside returning jurors Lillian Tay (group vice president of Veritas Group), Lai Siew Hong (co-founder of Blu Water Studio), and Bee Eu Tan (founder of BETA Architects).
